Shrinking LVC

I have a pair of 501 47's coming in the post and was wondering whats the best way to shrink them. With my last ones about a year ago I put them in the wash but ended up with a load of streaks all over them. I've read on hear about just laying them flat in the bath. I've ordered a 34 and would like to get them as close as possible to a 32 but without looseing as little indigo as possible. Just wondering what temp of water should I use and for how long should I keep them in for? Also I take it I won't get any streaks with this method as there will be no folds? Any help would be much appriciated.

first wash i soak my new jeans in the tub with cold water, never had any streaking etc etc

if you want to shrink them, through them in the dryer for a bit

i'm wearing a 34 in the '47's right now and they are a perfect 32. first time i washed them i did it inside out in cold water on the delicate cycle, no detergent. i dried them on hot for twenty minutes. the color loss was so minimal that i got a ribbing for wearing black jeans.
