I just read this months Boon magazine and `skateboard p` finally got his clothing line made apparantly. it all looks like shit imo and it was way too hyped to be able to live up to its rep. Does anyone even care about this anymore? I guess we`ll see on 11/5 when its all up on ebay.

yeah the hype seemed to have died down pretty quick...although i'm expecting nothing but mediocrity, just out of curiosity i'd still like to see what the full blown collection looks like other than the logo tees, polos and hoodies.

I wouldnt be so quick to criticize, as soon as that label blows and they start doing BBC dunks nuff kids are gonna jump on that - just like what happened with Bape. Personally dislike their stuff but if they know how to hit their target market (15-21yr olds) then they WILL cake.

it's hard to say, man.

bape didn't have a weird hype where there was nothing to show for so long like bbc does. bape was hyped, of course, but you could definitely 'get it' and there was a huge variety of product. all bbc's ever had are the odd shirt that pharrell's worn and the ocassional hoodie or whatever.

PLUS, i've never, ever, ever, EVER heard ANYONE say ANYTHING positive about bbc. hate on bape all you want, but there've always been people totally into it...and i mean, after seeing the store in nyc myself, i can't really hate on the brand that much...not something i would personally wear, but if it's 'you' to wear it, the stuff can look fresh.

the only thing i can think of is that it seems like pharrell's trying to re-market the ice creams as skate shoes...so if he can somehow make bbc into a skate brand, there might be some hope for it, simply based on the fact that skate kids are a weird, unpredictable market.

yeah I mean the line was announced like 2 years back wasnt it? then there was the whole reebok thing where the samples werent up to spec...so pharrell musta just got Nowhere co to do the production in the end which he shoulda done in the first place, just like the first tees that turned up in his videos/at bape parties.

its like everyone was all hyped about it 2 years back but now its like, `oh bbc, isnt that a TV channel in england or something?`...
