I go a few times a year (or as much as I can). Went on a 60km (37 mile) hike on the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia (eastern Canada). Was good times. Rain, freezing cold, swamps, highest tides in the world, up the cliff, down the cliff...for 4 days.

Heading to Bon Echo provincial park in a few weeks.

I run on the less-is-more policy when camping.

-Black Diamond Lighthouse tent: 3.5lbs

-Marmot Hydrogen sleeping bag: 1 lbs.

-Vaude Aracanda 30 pack: 2lbs.

Coolest camping trip I've ever been on was to Havasu Canyon. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and relatively unknown places in the world. It's an 11 mile hike down to the campgrounds, through a tiny Native American village who's only association with the outside world is a daily mule-train that delivers mail and supplies. You have to get a permit through the tribe to camp there and they only allow a certain number a year. From the campsite, it's another 9 miles or so on some cool-ass trails (with climbing, ropes, tunnels, etc involved) to the intersection of Havasu Canyon and the Grand Canyon. Amazing.
