I have a north face backpack too, it's a good product, but almost worth the price - but still, i think it's a bad trend b/c everyone has one. I know, some people might think "it's quality, doesn't matter what others wear or do, as long as I like it" I generally agree with this mantra but there's something to be said when everyone does it.

Personally, if everyone wears APCs (including frat abercrombie guys), though apc's might be quality and good, but to me, this factor would probably detract from the attractiveness value that I put on those. In other words, to me, other people opnions matter (just to what degree). and your article on stripped dress shirts- hilarious.

Oh on a side note, as to the list. We should assign ugly values (UV) to all bad trends, from 1-10. In my book, guys with ultra distressed jeans are about a 6 (fairly worse than average ugly), and sandals (5 moderately ugly).

Everytime a bad trend is combined, say "guys with ultra distressed jeans" are wearing sandals, their ugly value (UV) should be multiplied together. Thus, in the example, UV= 5x6 making an ugly product of 30.
