Finally saw the boots at the 54st store today. The leather is nice but the design not so much. I don't get why they did the "ribbing" part. It stretches a little to help to put the boot on. The soles are rubber on leather and boots are made in Brazil. I didn't try them on and the muppets who work there didn't know the price. I left before they figured it out.

they look much nicer in the press photos. i'd rather pay more for a pair of the JV convertible boots.
