This is a pretty new chain that is a higher end version of Abercrombie, the antithesis to Hollister. I live close to one of their stores in Columbus, OH. There stuff looks pretty nice, looks like some nice jeans. Has anyone else had any experience with the brand?

I stopped by my local store the other week and it looks like the exact damn same thing as Abercrombie. I thought this was supposed to be a more grown-up, upscale Abercrombie? Not sure of the quality since I didn't really examine anything closely.

i'm from michigan and live in new york for school. when i went home last christmas break this store had opened up, and all the jeans were named "bleecker" and stuff like that. they were also selling zagat guides. all the employees were required to wear hi top black chuck taylors and they have couches and bookshelves with art books. i thought it was really interesting, because i'd never heard of or seen a ruehl here in the city. it's pretty ridiculous. it's more of a 'hip' abercrombie i guess. the storefront in the mall was designed to look like a brownstone. kind of surreal.

Pretty wierd name, doesn't really sound preppy at all. Anyone know how to pronounce it?

i ran into one of these when i was at the woodfield mall in schaumburg,il and it seemed pretty nice. the actualy store design and concept is modeled after some ritzy, dark colored penthouse apartment in nyc of course, but as for the clothing goes i'd say it does differe some amount away from the teen/cali look of abercrombie. the prices increase a significant amount from af, and in comparison to other stores, it's clothing would be something like af meets trovata with a little bit of dressiness added in. that is, if such a combination is possible.
