Jay Allen - Non Test Images

These are a few of the non text shirts I'm doing. The first 3 are sprayed with a mixture of discharge ink and waterbased ink. I can't tell you how long it took me to figure out how to do this. These shirts are absolutely unique from shirt to shirt. I can't control the process well enough to duplicate designs exactly......and I'm not sure I'd want to.

This one is interesting because I was able to drive the ink through the shirt to create a "blair witchy" effect.

Keep in mind that these are working samples and aren't on the shirt they will eventually be on. But it should give you an idea......

I love the rising sun shirt. Will you be manufacturing it in a vareity of different color combinations or is that the only one?

You are bringing something new into the saturated t-shirt market. I think your sucess will mostly be affected by how wearable the designs are. I would be very interested if you did some type of all-over geometric prints or patterns using this technique.

Uniqueness are wearability can go hand it hand. In a lot of your designs the balance is a little off. The shirt with the star is a little too "look at me and my t-shirt, I'm a hipster wearing girls jeans".

I'm still playing with this technique. I've only showed this stuff to people on this forum and one other. It really is a love/hate thing. I've had several PM's asking to buy them.....and other people say it looks like a 5 year old did them.<smile>

To answer your question - I plan to do these shirts in a variety of colors and designs. I'm still working out the details. I've already had one retailer want to order them.....

Thanks for the kind words!
