Niagara Falls / Niagara on the Lake

There's probably ample information about all the wineries and stuff online, from your hotel, whatever. The only one I went to was Peller Estates, which was really nice, and also had a good restaurant with big windows overlooking the vinyards.

I've stayed at both the pillar and the post and queen's landing—both nice, not terribly expensive.

Hope this helped.

best places to stay are bed and breakfasts. but if you want an inn i like the angel in and its right near the main little strip. good bar downstaris that will probably distract you from everything. for food, go to the lakehouse. i havnt been because i dont touch NOTL anymore, but according to reliable friends, its the best restaurant in the region right now. you could go to the prince of wales for dinner, i worked there for a few years but it was getting really inconsistent toward the end of my career there.

for wine, stratus is good. peninsula ridge is on the bench so its out of the way from niagara on the lake but its got some okay stuff. if you can get a tour from le clos jordanne, you must bring me back a couple bottles of their claystone terrace pinot. as said peller estates has a really nice dining room, the downside being if you eat there you have to drink their wine. gross. jackson triggs is an amazing winery as far as design and architecture go but their product is kinda bunk. but you could take their tour then walk to stratus and do both in a really quick timeframe.

places not to go: pillar and post, butlers sports bar, inniskillin.

i figure i should do a seperate post for the falls.

if your going tourist style, clifton hill and the casino are madatory. if your grimey, go straight to the sundowner and dont leave til they make you. nightlife there is fucking heinous so either go to dragonfly and try to grin and bare it or just get crunk in your hotel. if you get sloppy, go get saucer fries and a chilli dog at flying saucer and then come back here and tell me how much you hate me the next day.

for dinner in falls, try sterling. its a spa/hotel/restarant near clifton hill and its apparently the bombsauce. ask for ryan berry. thats the dude. and they had this bottle of thirty bench from a few years ago that they werent listing that is INCREDIBLE.
