Back pocket alteration...feasible?

Okay, so I broke an important rule of shopping...which is "do not shop while high". I bought a pair of these "Kato" Jeans for a lot($430!!) of money. So convinced was I that these were perfect, I hot soaked them, making them mine forever.

Now Im not mad at the fit of them, which is a little looser than I'd like, and im DEFINITELY not mad at the denim/color/construction, which appears to be some of the best I've ever owned. What I fucking hate, however, is the back pocket placement. Check it out:

here's another picture from repeattofade's blog:

My question is: can these be altered in a way that makes them wearable for me? In theory, if i could move the pockets up and in, like a regular pair of pants, id probably like these jeans. Is this doable?

PS, if anyone LIKES the back pockets and wants to take these never-even-worn-EVER pair of jeans off my hands at a steep discount, get at me!

actually, out of many things people want to have done to their jeans, altering the back pockets are probably some of the easier stuff to do. especially in your case, if you don't mind the new pockets being bigger than the current ones (which were very small to begin with), the new pockets can cover up any little holes you might get from the previous pockets.

guys like the denim doctors at HTC could do a number on this type of job.

just moving the pockets is possible too, but you'll be left with some marks, which isn't necessarily horrible.

Damn do all Katos have weird ass pockets? I tried on a pair (don't remember the model, slimmer cut though) and they were nice except the back pockets started a good 4-5" lower than any other pants I have ever owned.

However, at least those pockets were square and didn't have buttons :)

Like Chicken said, should be easy fix.

why should i "prepare for flaming"? its a valid question dipshit.

anyhow, thanks chicken. My only concern is that if they make new pockets entirely, they may not easily match the colors of denim. however, as it stands i wont wear them at all, it cant hurt to try. i dont understand the reasoning behind the silly pockets on what otherwise are an insanely nice pair of jeans. they are really unflattering.

Question is valid but if but the sticky threads have a purpose you know...Dipshit

Ive moved the pockets on a pair of johnbulls I have and there was some discolouration but that went away after a few wears. The holes where the thread was left some marks but you cant tell anymore after some wear.

oh man i saw your post on redflagdeals i believe...

have you dealt with the pockets yet? i think the pockets look weird, can you even put a wallet in there???

wouldnt it be funky to have new back pockets, and have some cool designs on it ;) that'd be more unique than developing your own fades...
