Just thought i would show some pics, i enjoy seeing pics of peoples progress myself. This will also show the cut and how it fits on me, i never noticed how baggy the ass looks. Anyone also think my boxers look like those sears, sewn into the jeans baggy look?

They are sitting an inch below my waist, my boxers are pretty high

and, thanks to adsurgo for the starching tip, the creases are much more defined, the jeans look excellent now!

heh, i went nuts with the starch, i wanted tons of creases so i starched them everytime i sat to study, which was everyday last week

Im currently at home right now away from the starch, but its in a blue spray can, i think its just called spray starch

i made the mistake of washing mine right away....

i shouldve just soaked them, i dont know why i put them thru a cycle in the wash and they lost sooo much color

they used to be really dark blue almost black, now they are just really dark blue, still a little shiny tho...

They fit waaaaaaaay better when you soak them first. I bought mine true to size, soaked them inside out for like 20-30 min, then let them dry on me and they fit a lot slimmer and are still shiny.

water works just as well as starch for this purpose.

i normally wear a 33, i bought 35 and they shrunk quite a bit and fit perfect

but will they stretch out a lot after a wash?

just soften them up, id assume. theres no way that the outcome of watering jeans and sitting down til they dry is the same as starching jeans and sitting down til they dry.

why comment on things you don't know or have tried? starch is obviously soluble in water, thus wetting the jeans and letting them dry has the same effect as applying new starch.

the whole point would be to add new starch so they are stiffer. seeing as he has already washed his jeans, there probably isnt much original starch left.

I didn't notice he had washed the jeans, if he has then they might need som extra starch.

Water will have the same effect on dry jeans as starch, and I've already explained why.

but anyway.. dont you think original starch plus more would be a better after effect than just rewetting and drying the original?

I think you are thinking of someone else? Or refering to someone else then? My jeans havent touched water, i havent washed them, nor have i soaked them.

im sure adding water to unwashed jeans would have a small affect, but not nearly as good a one as adding starch. The bonds between starch molecules break as you wear a pair of jeans, as to why the become softer with wear. Starch molecules can be lost by physical contact between the jeans and other surfaces. Because starch is water soluble, adding plain water will help to reform bonds as the water evaporates, but will not produced as stiff a fabric as using starch.
