Sup y'all,

Just wondering how many ppl in here are flat-footed and what shoes/boots, etc they find works well for them.

Also, do you find your footwear wears out excessively fast due to the pressure your feet put on the shoes?

Or maybe I just need to stop buying cheap ass ALDO boots...(but hey, they're one of the few brands that carry my size...)

OOPS, I guess I should've mentioned that I'm talking primarily about dressier shoes and boots here...not kicks.

LOL

Thanks for the advice so far..keep 'em coming!

I do have orthotics but i usually just use those for running/gym. etc

that being said, i do walk a lot (to and from work and in general) so i might pick up another set just for my dress shoes/boots.

And yup, i've found that to get shoes that last, i've had to start buying more expensive shoes...but i figure that the $300 i pay for the shoes that'll last will be a better value than buying a bunch of $100 aldo shoes that wear out quickly..

I have found Fluevogs to be pretty comfortable and durable, though they are a bit on the heavy side.

I recently got some Dirk Bikkembergs boots that are the most comfortable (and expensive) boots I've ever owned.

I don't really think being flat-footed keeps one from being a good skater, but it's an interesting idea.

You don't walk weird per se, but because you (or we, i should say ) have no arches, our feet tends to pronate inwards.

If I look at any of my boots/dress shoes, there are distinct creases/wear to the inside wall of the shoe.

Also, when it comes to sneakers, if the sole is very narrow (think puma mostro), then my foot will literally roll inwards on them.
