denim for bigger waists (40 and up)

does anyone have any suggestions for raw and/or selvedge denim that comes in larger waist sizes and isn't super wide in the leg/leg opening? i am currently wearing a pair of iron heart 634s and they're great except i had to get the tapered which was kind of a shame because i think it changed the fit a fair amount.

i've had some success with evisu heritage jeans as well. If anyone has any suggestion's that'd be dope. thanks.

Should be in the small questions thread, but since I was a former livin' large man, I can tell you that there are brighter days for your search for larger size denims. Here are a few models that come in 40+:

As you can see there's plenty out there. Check out the BiG web site too. They always carry large sizes.

I cant even find any rrl in a 38 can polo shops in atlanta say they only go up to a 36

^^^ Nah, they're smoking something down in Atlanta. I have a couple of 40's and 38's RRL. This was when the sizing was all over the place too. The 38 measured a 41 and the 40 was a 42. All sanforized. I got all these jeans down at the RRL store on Prince Street in NYC.

Try a RRL store first 'cause they stock more sizes. But at POLO store or outlet is usually where you get the sale deals.

This a double post for me but it applies here as well.

I just order the last pair of Skull 5000xx in size 42 but if you take a look at blueingreensoho.com you are sure to find something that fits. Be sure to check there measurement area because this will help open a variety a denim to you ranging from size 38 to size 42. Before purchasing the Skulls 5000xx I was looking at these.

Paul Smith in size 38 but should fit you.

heads up on those iron hearts - they ALL run super small. I usually buy my jeans in size 36 or 38 and the size 38 ironhearts I have are SKIN-tight. They're the only jeans other than eternal 811 that I wish I'd gotten a size 40 (my eternals are a size 40)
