flared jeans

i cannot express how much hatred i have towards this "fad"/style. it should have died with bell bottoms. Women if you need to wear bootcut jeans fine. I'm talking about us men here. It doesn't mean you are more manly or more in touch with your feminine side if you wear boot cut jeans. why wear clothing that doesn't fit the shape of your body, it boggles my mind why people would want that extra fabric flapping around down there. besides that it looks terrible. a slight bootcut makes sense for its original purpose...being able to fit a boot under the jean, anything beyond that is terrible. I thought i would just come out and say it here. I hate that peoples fashion senses are so horrible that they must fall into this trend. Men wearing seven and true religion jeans is an truly appalling sight, wear things that fit the shape of your body. sorry if this was extreme but it had to be said. is the new thing for men to start looking like women? lets just wear straight or tapered jeans and be happy, whether they be distressed or dry or on there way to being distressed lets please let them fit our legs and not look stupid. thank you for your time in reading this.

i think man wearing flair jeans are fine, why do you have so much rage about it? every 1 has their own unique style, when u ask guys to wear jeans the way you want, is like republican wants to illegalize gay rights...

its not like that actually, that is an unfair analogy. would you wear a shirt that for some reason flared out in the middle? i would think not, it would look strange, and not very flattering... and this is exactly what im saying about flared jeans. and to serge... i wont publicly ridicule you.. but if the flare is very noticeable i may cringe on the inside.

I love my Nudie RRs but I also like my Diesel Zathans... was just wishing for something along the lines of a Dry Zathan, if something like that exists? Taking a hint from the 517 thread last week, I tried on a pair of 517s but the rise was too high. 527s are lower rise, I think thats the number, but they don't come dry. Any Suggestions?

Serge, what are those jeans you're wearing?

These ones are the LVC "Beat-Up" from last year. There were some deadstock ones last season but I wouldn't wear them enough to break them in. I also have a pair of real Big E 646's but they are too small for me.

Thanks for the comments on the test patterns. I got them at American Rag in SF and thought I should buy a bunch to put on ebay. I looked them up and they were going for ~ retail ($100). Then a couple of months ago I saw them going for $300+. I should have snapped them up!

Carpe Denim! (not the jean brand silly!)
