Nudie Flare Glenn Dry Sizing

hi there,

i dont have access to a store near me for Nudie jeans so wanted to hear some advice on sizing.

i usually wear a 30 in Diesels like zathan, clerby, lemmens, etc. but any guesses what i would wear in the Nudie dry Flare Glenn? im afraid that the dry denim may actually shrink once i wash it my first time and i wont be able to wear it. then again, i dont know if the stretching you get from constantly wearing it will counteract the shrinkage you get from washing.

you should be okay. my size 30 rr selvage came slightly larger in the waist as well, but it shrank (hot soak, no ring, high heat drier), and it now fits perfectly in the waist. fyi, i wear 30 in diesel and 30 in levi's 501.

but how bout if i dont plan to put it in the drier (hang dry instead), would it be a better idea to get 29 instead then? do like dry selvage tends to stretch more than your average distressed jean?

this whole expanding and shrinking thing just confuses me because i dont know if they offset each other or not.

hang dry won't cause as much shrinkage. so if you never ever plan to toss it in the drier, then 29 would be okay. keep in mind you can expect 1-2" of waist expansion over a prolonged period of wear. in the big scheme of things, you should leave about 1" of room in your waist anyway...just in case you go to a buffet style restaurant or go out to drink, your waist size will increase as well.

so essentially if you plan to wear it for prolong period of time (to have the dry denim shape towards your lifestyle) then its better to get one in one size smaller?

yeah man, the sizing is true to fit, but with the dry, it's a little bit bigger, cause when it's washed, it then becomes the proper say, 32. Sometimes it's up to a size bigger, so when dry, it'll fit like a 33. but remember, they do stretch out too. so really u should be just fine getting your normal size man.
