The artist contacted me and after a long talk I decided to withdraw the ebay sale and give the shirt back to the artist.

The artist is really doing it to say something about how New York works in terms of fame and money.

I don't know how much it would've gone for but it really would have been unfair for me to make money from a gift.

The artist has no idea about the reaction his work gets from those who have received it but my reaction is apparently as valid and as much a part of the whole project as is someone's such as Anton the skater who said he loves his.

I was basically told how I was a very important part of the story because of what I did with it. That is very cool.
