Anybody have any experience with these? just received a couple of pairs i bought on egay and im not very impressed to say the least. the quality seems really below par, especially considering they retail for close to $300 over here (aus). possibly fake?

can't say specifically for the floods, but i've owned like three pairs of everybody his and los and i would say the quality is about what you would expect. is there something in particular that you find wrong with them? i never noticed anything more than the usual tiny defects in the midsole, loose threads etc that you'd find on any pair of dunks. leather is better than regular nike also.

there just seems to be glue going everywhere, some cracking of the leather around the stitching... just little things really. i might try and post some pictures up tomorrow. so far i havent come across anything suggesting that there may be fakes on the market but who knows. maybe i expected too much.

out of curiosity, how did your everybody hi's run size wise? big? these floods are a 9.5 but definitely fit like a 10 in length.

I have a pair of the Flood Hi's and I think they're pretty good. I definitely had no complaints about the quality, and the comfort is about what I would expect for a shoe of this kind. Size was pretty true IMO, maybe running a touch big. If you can get them for a decent price (I got mine for under $100) they're totally worth it.

the recent batch (red box) were made in china, quality seems reasonable but i only have experience with one pair. i did try on a bunch from the previous batch (mint green box) that were made in brazil and quality varied widely on the insole.

they are really expensive for what are basically glorified vans, esp considering the latter's price points.

i own the first pair of floods released (last year: brown/black/red colorway) and I wouldnt say the quality is off at all (or size). Pics would definitely clarify the magnitude of what you perceive to be the problem.

On another note, $300 is crazy for a pair of Alifes. Just scour US ebay and you can usually get a pair for under retail if you are willing to wait a few months after they are released.

*Interesting side note- if anybody has read the recent feature on alife by the folks on inqmnd.ca they mention that Arnau comes from a legacy of footwear makers. What they dont say is that the shoes made in Brazil (mint green box) were made in Arnau's family factory. I think this is actually one reason why those versions are slightly better- quality control was easier to manage.
