Tokyo Toys?

Anyone know of any good toy spots in Tokyo? Looking for Kurbrick, Medicom, Michael Lau, Amos stuff etc.

I did a search on here and found some discussion on http://andtoy.com being a go but the link is dead and can't find anything on google. Is this place still around? I did manage to find out it is in Nanako Broadway Center, well it was in early 2007 when a review was posted by someone on the net. Anyone been there recently??

Cheers!

Nakano broadway have otaku goods stores. Mandarake has action figures but

they don't sell "street" figures.

I don't know of a shop that sells all of the said figures.

I can usually find bearbricks at tokyu hands, kiddyland, and other stores.

Cheers Herpsky. Yeah from what I found on the net, I got the impression that nanako broadway was a bit of an otaku area. It's just that judging by the pics of the andtoy store that I've seen it looks like kubrick heaven and though it might be worth checking. Might just stick to the usual areas if that's going to be the only decent store in the area though :)

I would at least go to the Secret Base and Gargamel stores while you're there, they have maps on their websites...

It's different from the stuff you had mentioned, it's all Japanese made soft vinyl, but both would definitely be worth checking out if you have any kind of interest in current vinyl toys. The Secret Base store has a vault with all of the toys they have made on display.

nakano broadway is where it's at. you can find all that stuff there. Also, in front of Ueno station is

Yamashiroya http://www.e-yamashiroya.com/ They got a bunch of kubricks and what not in there, too.

If you're in Shibuya, they have a

mandarake http://www.mandarake.co.jp/en/shop/ in the beams building near Tokyu Hands. There's also a place up near the apple store in Shibuya called

Blister http://www.blister.jp/index.html that has some stuff on their second floor.

akihabara has a couple places. I don't know the name, but if you are walking down the main street of electric town towards Ueno, it's on the right side of the street. Can't miss it. Shinjuku has

few many http://www.fewmany.com/ but it's not worth going to.

As herpsky said, Original fake, which is Kaws's/medicom's store has crazy expensive toys if you got the money.

yeah astrobit and crap will carry your robot plastic models and gacha keychains, but there are a couple stores that are between akiba and okachimachi that carry bearbricks100%400%1000%/secret base/Qee/those worst/crows things. I didn't think they would have any either, but one whole floor of those overpriced plastic paperweights.

Thanks, sounds good! Can you tell where Nanako Broadway is? No detailed instructions or anything, just a general area, the name doesn't ring any bells... Thanks!

nakano station sobu line. Not too far west of shinjuku.

You gotta walk through this covered walkway that has old people stores before you get to the building at the end called the Broadway. Then you gotta go upstairs. The floor layout is kind of weird, and I always get lost. Just walk around. After looking at figures head down to the basement floor for some food and this fricking huge ass soft serve ice cream cone.
