US Cutoms Screening?

Hey guys. I have ordered a couple international shipments in the last year or so without any problems. This time however, I ordered something through a proxy from Japan and my tracking says it has been inbounded to customs. Is this a routine check or has my package been red flagged? Any knowledge from the veterans here would be useful. Thanks! :confused:

I live in Canada but this happens to me with every international order I do, you should be fine. Start getting worried if it's there for more than a few days.

In the past, I've never had a package delayed due to U.S. customs.

However, I ordered something from overseas recently that I should have received by now, but I suspect it is held up in customs.

It's possible that due to the holidays things are delayed, but that's lame.

I saw the same status on my package from Japan EMS two weeks ago. I received the package later with no problem. I think it may just be a new status for EMS computer system and give you know more details about your package.

thanks for the answers guys. it turns out that it was a routine inspection after all!
