Where to buy Helmut Lang Suit

I'm in boston, saks doesnt have the suits...

I'll be in Newyork in a few weeks and would really like to purchase one while I'm there.

Any other places in the city have these?

If I do have to go to HL; does the store in Soho stock a good number of the suits, also to anyone that has one how much roughly did it run you?

Any help is apreciated!

Sadly, Helmut Lang brand is no more.

All HL stores closed.

NYC dept stores won't have any either.

Your best bet is probably online or someplace like Century 21, though I've

never seen a Helmut Lang suit there.

It's all very sad.

Yep. The article made the rounds on several fashion forums. It's quite depressing; HL and Jil Sander, two of my favorite fashion designers are no more. At least Ennio Capasa is still around, and I'm quite interested in Kris Van Assche's designs.

You might get lucky on eBay. I have two Helmut Lang suits I picked up from there over the years.

What size are yours??

I'm a 46 IT/36R US. They pop up from time to time; newer season suits go for 600+, older seasons in the 300-400 range.

I usually run this as a search:

(jil sander,helmut,margiela,costume national,dries,comme,raf simons,westwood,hamnett) (suit,blazer,sport coat,suit jacket)

and I usually get good results. Sometimes the best items don't include "suit" in the title. One of my HL suits was titled "HELMUT LANG 2004" and that's it.

Helmut Lang is still being sold at department stores such as Barneys, Saks and Bloomingdales. From what I have heard, Jil Sanders design team has temporary taken over and a lot of these stores are restocking past collection items and/or the items on the floors have been "updated" for the fall.

You can try www.yoox.com for a fair selection of helmut lang items, but other than that, you will have to wait until Helmut comes out with his new plan (which he has hinted as HL-art).

If you are looking for slim suits, I would also suggest checking out Dior homme.

Hi, I'm an idiot! I just saw Helmut Lang line suits, jeans, pants, outerwear - overcoats, jackets at Camouflage Clothing (141 8th Ave, New York, 10011 - (212) 741-5173). I didn't see any size 36/46 on the racks, my size as well, but who knows. Also, Jeffery around the corner on W 14th St btwn 9/10th Aves, had a bunch of HL. Sorry, I had no idea it was still in stores. I went to the last days of the Soho store and it was a sad, crazed bunch of shoppers trying to fit into whaterver dregs were left. Good luck - Helmut Lang suits are really sharp and will be missed. This year Miu Miu suits are super nice and fairly cheap at between $900 and $1100. Barneys had a lot of 36/46 a few weeks ago.
