Question for Canadians re: ordering Watches from US

Hi fellow superfuture Canadians, i recently came across a watch on ebay that i would like to purchase. its around $1300. i was wondering if any of you ordered a Watch from that price range or more from the US online and how much did you get dinged by the Canadiam Customs to have the watch reach your Canadian address. I'm from the Toronto area. please share your wonderful stories. lol.

i guess u will have to pay around 200 $ customs..only if they find out the value of that watch....but...i don't know why u open a thread and ask this question...

i would definitely NOT buy a watch on ebay. too many fakes...the vast majority.

ask seller to mark the package as watch going in for repair with value under 50 CAD.

This usuallly works out with no problem, done it many times.

if they mark it like that for $50, won't u only get reimbursed for $50 if the item gets lost?

yeah i really wouldn't go for it unless you don't mind losing that kinda scrill. used watch transactions are super risky in person let alone on the internet and internationally.
