Best day of the week to list eBay auctions?

I always have them end on Tuesdays.

Based off my experience, I'd say it's best to have them end on Sundays, regardless of the day the listing started.

+1 for Sundays. Make it end at a resonable time too. It's kind of hard to factor, but the hours between 7-10pm EST seem to work really well because everyone's home across the nation. Plus, you don't have to wait through the weekend for payment to clear since money doesn't seem to move over the weekends.

ok so Sunday it is. Now would it be a bad idea to start selling now as opposed to after xmas? I'm thinking more people will have cash to spend after christmas. Or is my logic wrong? Are people more willing to spend money to buy gifts before xmas? Thanks

I would think it would be best to list things now if they are new (and thus more likely to be gifted) and after xmas if they are used, but not right after, since people might be broke.

Yup most of mine end on Sunday night. My last batch of auctions yielded $950. Yay!

If you list before the 12th you get a free gallery picture for fixed price and auction style listings. It saves you about $.35 but free is free.

that's true for some stuff but bear in mind your audience - if you're selling things that mostly europeans buy (like, um, free jazz records) then you may want to plan accordingly.

After xmas is a good idea because a lot of people just get money as xmas presents, and then they go on ebay and spend it! Thats what I'm waiting for.. I have some guitar amps that I don't need..
