How is this different than a fork?

Good point. My steel chopsticks weren't polished smooth like a normal fork though. Instead they had a rough brushed surface, comparable to a stainless steel wrist band on a watch.

Now that you mention it.. I never let any utencils touch my teeth. Is that awkward?
