Slab denim

anyone got some information on this denim brand... dropped by tnt blu today n bought a pair... regular 400 i got em for 89+tax. selvedge n everything. anyone got any news about em? i'll post some pics if anyones interested.

There is a rash of them on ebay. They are disgustingly dirty denim. SLAB was what Diesel Style Lab called their jeans, but these aren't them. Are they really selvage denim? BTW, I miss Style Lab.

From an ebay auction:

Rick Owens is a Los Angeles-based designer, known for his combination of glam and gothic looks. Madonna and Helena Bonham Carter are some of his celebrity clientele.

SLAB is his jean offshoot. Now I could only find 1 example of a price for a pair of SLAB jeans on the net, and it was $338. I do not know if that is representative of his whole denim line, but it's in such limited distribution I cannot find any other prices, so pardon me if I am shooting low or high with that price. The matching jacket has sold on eBay for over $300 in the past.

Made in the USA, 100% cotton canvas material. Pictures and measurements are of the actual pair you will receive. If nothing else, these are one hell of a conversation piece!

my pics'll be up in like 15 minutes i had a hell of alot on my digi from this weekend sofar so their all loading on. yea and these are excellently dirty... like htye have a grimy feel to them. you can see by the pictures

I picked up a pair of those too at TNTBlu..

funnily enough, when i took them to my local Stitch-It (alterations shop) to get them hemmed, they took one look at them and told me I had to wash them first...I had to explain to them that they were new and that's how they came...lol

I have a pair of brown overdyed w/ much resin denim. Got 'em @ Fred Segal Santa Monica....Not bad.

these jeans arent very heavy denim... so they dont have that stiff feeling... are they still gonna get the honeycombs and whiskers that my apc's (persay) are in the process of getting?

Probably not..since these are distressed jeans and not raw, I don't think you're gonna get the same honeycomb/whiskering effect that you'll get w/ your raw APCs..

Don't get me wrong, i'm sure there'll be some minor wear-effects (fading from washing, etc) but definitely not to the extent that you'd get from raw denim..and

That's just from my understanding though...someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...
