Cowboy Boots

I am looking for the epitome of cowboy boots, basically I really want something authentic, not highly commercialised cowboy boots. I really only want to have a single pair so I really want it to be one of the best out there and for it to be made of the ultimate leather and craftmanship. I was looking at the buttero equitazion series and wondered if these represented extremely good quality. thanks in advance

The most well known maker of boots is Tony Lama, but honestly, you'd be hard pressed to find a pair of boots in a Western store that aren't going to last you quite a long time. Having spent much of my life working on ranches, I've worn everything from Justin to Double H to Wal-mart house brands to custom made boots and have never had complaints about a specific brand. Look up a Western goods or supply store in your area and go check some out in person.

I can tell you, however, that anything by Buttero is the complete opposite of authentic cowboy boots.
