thanks for the bump. Deadstock technically means that the item has never been sold at retail, ie nos/new old stock/never off shelf or surplus inventory. It really doesn't have anything to do with the product being tried on...technically its new, but that's not the point. I think newbie niketalkers probably picked it up from older heads talking about when it was common to find mom and pop stores sitting on a lot of shoes they weren't able to sell. Brand new gear, as in just released, can never be considered deadstock. Further, the retail trade stole the word from the agriculture vernacular (as opposed to livestock) not trying to get all deep with it, just lettin niggas know!
