I'm pretty sure it doesn't cost $200 to unlock a phone that is now $400. And a note to anyone remotely interested in using this with another carrier, Apple is now using updates that may or may not "brick" iphones being used on other networks.

I went to buffalo and picked up an iPhone for 400...with taxes and customs...it came to 440...then I paid some guy 60 to professionally unlock it for me...so total i paid 500cdn for the phone which ive been using for about a month with no complications...

I don't think your price is totally unreasonable...considering my method takes gas...time and effort...just putting options out there

my friend went to the AT&T store, bought an 8gig for $430 w/ tax... came home and downloaded the unlock software and w/ in an hour he was using it on t-mobile w/ all the features except visual voicemail.

so sorry man, your price is way too high considering it is very easy to unlock iphones now.

i think everyone did this method. And no you do not need to get a contract to get the phone for 400 dollars.

picked up 2 8 gig iphones for 750 express, thanks anyway
