Do the Canes have the same high rise as the Levi's? I like the APC rise. Anything higher then that is no bueno.

I'm liking the sugar canes. I just bought a pair of lVC 1947 501xx, which are dope, but I am looking into buying a pair of the new "made in the USA" 1955 model sugarcanes with the zip-fly.

The back pocket stitching is very clever. It's designed to fall apart after wear, so that it looks like a Levi's arcuate. See this link.

Below are the Sugar Cane's I bought in one wash approx 8 months ago. They get washed every 2 months or so. An extremely rugged 14.25oz denim that I like a lot. Gotta be patient with these though. I haven't been wearing them much this summer either because of the intense nyc summer heat. Very special jeans.

friend from japan is getting me a pair of the 1955 model canes. so you're saying the tag size is the size AFTER shrinkage? meaning i don't have to order couple sizes up? help.

Sounds about right. From reading on here (and from ringrings comment): Buy your Canes in your regular size. They will (if not pre-shrunk/onewash) shrink to label sizing. Once worn they will relax and the fit will become more relaxed, but this can be addressed by washing/soaking again.

However, I'm going to experiment with the fit of my next pair by sizing down and allowing them to stretch out a little to see how that goes.

yeah... buy your canes at your normal size. buy them one wash too... they still are nice and stiff and will wear in well.

definitely not, mine shrunk down like 2 inches in the waist. Go with the canes though, they are awesome.
