Warehouse denim information

Having looked around Rakuten at the various Japanese denim brands I really like the look of Warehouse, particularly after seeing clintyclints Japanese denim chart. The problem is that I don't know a great deal about them, and what the various styles are like.

Therefore, can anyone tell me what's special about Warehouse denim, and why the Japanese seem to be choosing them over Eternal, Sugar Cane, Denime etc. Also, what are the various fits. The ones I'm looking at are these...

Thanks!

well basically warehouse repros a lot of the massively popular classic cuts... like levis 501 1933, 1937, 1947 or lee 1934. the craftsmanship is excellent and they somehow manage to dye their jeans perfectly (the dry jeans literally give no blue stains anywhere at all. have you ever tried a pair of sugar canes? they still give you blue hands after 3 months of wear).

their washes are amongst the most natural i have seen. they put a lot of care and love in them. which kinda explains why their washed jeans quite often almost cost double compared to their drys.

Thanks all!

So can anyone tell me what's the difference between the 1000xx and 1001xx styles?

Also, following on from misterdobalina's comment, does anyone know what type of indigo they use? Is it veggie, real indigo or suplhur?

Lastly, what's the weight of the 1000xx's and the 1001xx's?

the 1000xx are a 1950's 501xx cut whereas the 1001xx is a 1940's 501xx cut. which basically means the 1000xx has a slightly slimmer fit.

both are 14oz denim (actually they're 13.76oz to come as close as possible to those 501xx) and use memphis cotton.

Thanks very much misterdobalina! I think I'm going to go ahead and get a pair of the 1000xx's then and they will become my next project jeans after the Nudie RR's that I'm currently working on.

Biggow How are the BB's?

I am going to carrying sugarcane for Spring 06 as well as some special guests so all the denimheads will get VERY excited.

The Blue Bloods are fantastic. I'm so pleased you managed to get hold of a pair for me!

Sugar Canes look very nice, but I really like the look of the Warehouse jeans. Any chance that they'll be one of the 'special guests' or Eternal's maybe?
