Robert Longo Dedication Thread

So here's a short paragraph about Longo on Wiki:

"Although he studied sculpture, drawing remained Longo's favorite form of self-expression. However, the sculptural influence pervades his drawing technique, as Longo's "portraits" have a distinctive chiseled line that seems to give the drawings a three-dimensional quality. Longo uses graphite like clay, molding it to create images like the writhing, dancing figures in his seminal "Men in the Cities" series."

Another description of Longo:

"Robert Longo's works are typically brash and eye-catching. They take the power of the photographic or filmic image and marry it to large-scale artworks that often escape categorization as strictly painting, sculpture, or media art. As he has said, "My work exists somewhere between movies and monuments."

Longo's project as a visual artist involves the exploration of the importance of images in popular culture, and the investigation of stereotypical depictions of the individual's alienation within a complex society. His works almost demand to be consumed by the viewer in an instant. Central to the mood of Longo's pictures is the depiction of violent physicality and psychological angst motivated by a undefined source left to the viewer's speculation."

I thought it'd be fun to shoot real-life versions of his drawings.

have to say im a big fan of longo his stuff caught my eye when i saw american psycho

when i get a mirror or a tripod and pop my waywt cheery

might try a longo pose although probally get abuse for doing stupid pose

im pretty sure there is a little longo refrence in the new daks campaign cant say i was too pleased but i guess its better than the usual mediocre stuff

also longo must have had a little influence in the most recent DH campaign? you think not
