favorite rock and roll magazine

anyone have any favorites? seems like its fucking hard to find a true magazine these days. sometimes i have to settle for a rolling stone. yeah they fucked up hard in the past, but sometimes i feel like they realized it and are trying to get back to what they once were.

that is until they decide to make a "greatest XXX of all time" list and fuck everything so completely up you cant even see where they are coming from...

The best one i've come across is called Skyscraper. It's not full of glossy photos or anything, but it's FULL of interviews and album reviews. The last issue i have has interviews from Explosions in the Sky, Neurosis, Jesu, Converge, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, and a whole slew of others.

its not about rock and roll, its about music you will likley never own or hear about but WIRE without a doubt is a beautiful thing, just imagining the records is enough I include an explanatory record review from a recent issue to show you why Issue 269 Page 53: "For his album the artist has layered two years worth of recordings of beetle activity below the bark of a particular pine tree in New Mexico into a seemless hour-long piece"
