Alternative Vs. american Apparel

Sorry if this has been discussed before.

I have owned American Apparel shirts for a little while now. I find that their sizing can run all over the place. They could be too wide, maybe the shoulders are too tight, run too short. I need to try a few different shirts of the same size to find one I like.

Do people here favor Alternative Apparel a little more? Just browsed their site and they have quite a few styles/designs I would be interested in picking up.

I've heard MANY people say that Alternative Apparel is softer and the sizes are more controlled thatn American Apparel, but I honestly don't think it's worth the price (depending where you get it.)

alternative apparel fits weird sometimes, i don't care for many of their fits, american has much better cuts but alternative does have some cool styles

you could get basic alts for like 9 bucks.

I only have experience with the basic t-shirts.

I was very disappointed with my Alternative Apparel order. The colors are terrible. Shirts are cut strange and feel even cheaper than American Apparel.

i just placed an order for some basics.

i have a brand new (the band) tee made from a alt apparel base. fits really well post shrunk. slim without being overall tight in the chest like AA. shorter length and sleeves.
