There aren't many radio shows that get so harsh. WKCR's new music department has a couple of great programmers. Depending on whose show you find, it might just be as straight forward as free jazz but sometimes I'll tune into Transfigured Night or (less often) the Afternoon New Music show and hear stuff like Kevin Drumm blast back at me.

Edit: and a quick promo plug while I'm talking about KCR. This sunday night, the 8th, one of my bands is playing live on the air at 10pm EST. People into the avant had best listen in.
