NY hot spots during the wk?

I have reservations for Japonais and Morimoto's for dinners, but would love to find out where to party or other good restaurants (assuming these are good).

I'm there next Mon - Thu. Is the meatpacking district still okay or mostly bridge & tunnel?

Any help would be appreciated?

It's pretty hard to suggest anything if we don't know what you're looking for or on what day.

There are existing threads to ask such questions. Japonais is dope but the Park Ave dinner crowd is lame. Morimoto omakase is the shit.

Meatpacking and the Area north of it (NoMeat) is utterly fucking hopeless. Save your money. But if you must, STK and the club downstairs, is bearable for about 15 minutes. But reservation at one does not guarantee the other.

Japonais is cool but try 15 east next time. And since you're in the neghborhood go to the Jade/Rose bar at GPH.

And, this is just me being lame, the best way to spend a monday night is the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater's 11pm show hosted by Aziz Ansari (sp?!) from Human Giant.

And if you're staying in the Meatpacking district go to the newly opened Ronnybrook Milk Bar in Chelsea Market. Amazing milk, man.
