Seriously, I can't remember a bands name, so I figured I'd get this thread up in case anyone else was ever trying to remember something. If this thread already exists, then my searching has failed.

The Band I'm Looking For: I feel like they're a new-er sort of band, last 3-6 years maybe, although I could be wrong. Play noise music, somewhat more melodic variety, I believe. I distinctly remember that they play Chain Mail when they play live. I really can't remember much else, they've been touring quite recently.

It's hard, this conversation was from like a month ago, and all I distinctly remember was my friend ranting about "and oh, man... it was awesome! They, like, played fuckin' CHAIN MAIL live!."

It was in the midst of a conversation about Merzbow, so it's in that sort of vein.

Really, the only way you'd ever know this was if that one fact happened to stick out. I'm not expecting much, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

I'm betting it's more like Wolf Eyes. It might be Wolf Eyes, come to think of it, but I didn't get anything for googling "Wolf Eyes chainmail" that was relevant, he was super into them. I know it's not The Locust / Lightning Bolt / Black Dice, so that's one thing out of the way.

Actually playing it. I'll check that out, but that sounds more like black metal than noise music, and I'm pretty sure this was a noise band.

Sounds right to me. Twodeadsluts Onegoodfuck plays noise similar to Merzbow and I think they are from Boston.

Ive got an album by them. Its a 3"cd that is packaged in a pitri dish, so even if you ignored judgement that there probably was some shit in there, if you opened it the cd wouldnt work anyway. The other one is packed in porn. Fuck yeah.

it was probably Nautical Almanac, i've seen them use a large sheet of chainmail wired with contact mics and shaking the chainmail produced a wash of metallic sounds.

they're definitely from the noise scene, have played with Merzbow, and are slightly less abrasive than most other noise groups.
