Converting back pockets to zippered?

Has anyone ever added a zipper to their jeans back pockets? I'm thinking it may be a good thing to do on a couple of my more plain looking jeans. And it wouldnt be just for looks. I could put my wallet in my back pocket and not have to use a chain and not worry about losing it.

But no tassles. Bronze metal on light jeans, and steel on dark jeans. I know it wouldnt look right on a repro or classic style jeans. But for a modern style jean, on a slim, tapered, or straight leg cut.

It'd work for trackpants, but not for jeans. Look silly. Jeans were made to have hardware like wallet chains sticking out. You could move to Wisconsin. No pickpockets there, or so I've heard.

Or you could move to Broome WA (pop. 50). Everyone's too poor to even have wallets or pockets. They carry their money wrapped in newspaper, or kangaroo scrotum. hehe (before I get flamed by any WAers, I know people from Broome, so relax. it's an on-going joke).

Sorry to hijack the thread but I spent a considerable amount of time in Broome in the aftermath of a cyclone sometime around 2000 and hearing about it makes me feel nostalgic.

Memorable moments included :

• Being forced to sing every breath you take" at knifepoint by a member of the

Coffin Cheaters motorcycle gang who took offense when I politely declined his

offer of a huge heroin bong hit.

• Being hired by the local croc farm and used as bait to make sure the resident

crocodiles - up to 7metres in length - hadn't escaped during the storm.

• Playing golf blown out of my box on moonshine acid out in the desert with a

crack team of totally mental and awesomely debauched chefs.

• Eating and drinking nothing but snickers bars and warm victoria bitter for 3

straight days

It's great.

Everyone should go there.
