Those are beautiful! I spent an afternoon last year going through all the old trunks in my Grandmothers attic looking for anything close to those, no luck though. Thanks for the link Cheep.

anyway, it's really cool to see jeans that are a hundred years old, and then go buy new jeans that look the same. That's why I like jeans so much.

hmm a ditty bag...? I have 2 cut off legs of vintage selvedge denim jeans that used to have a visable redline that is now pink, and if anyone wants pics I can get em soon. Lol you could make a ditty bag out of them or patch stuff

Best thread in a really long time! Its funny how one starts to recognize the Thai fakes just by the way they fade. We had this shop here in stockholm that had loads of Thai fakes and they had all more or less faded the same. just like these two in this thread.

FROCK YOU! vintage used clothing store in san diego, carrys a nice collection of vintage jeans for sale (levis & lee). each jean has its date (year) marked on the tag with the size & price.

the owner tours as many states as she can all year long and finds vintage clothing in rural and small used clothing goods stores and buys them for her store. She said she does it for the love of it not the $$$. They also have a room dedicated to vintage shoes.

These are on ebay too, look very legit and have some cool repair jobs. WWII model without rivets in the coin pocket and no acruate.

Hype Easiest way to tell that they are Thai fakes is by looking at the train tracks. See how its so dark from all that wax? And I always think the back pockets look a bit off.
