Found this piece o' blue some days ago in a thrift store for about 15 dollar. The denim is pretty thick and stiff, feel pretty much like som Lee vintage-pieces. It's yellow selvage and a pretty light blue color, a lil' bit hair. The jacket seem to be nearly new, I can' see any signs of wear, except for som pretty weird altering from the previous user. The buttons at the hands is gone. There is no buttons at the waist, but I can't see any sign of this being done by the previous user. All tabs etc are cut away. The buttons are sayin' Ranger. Here are the pics:

First an overview of the jacket:

The cuffs on the sleeve openings are gone. Looks like they cut off and sewn back. Or it might have came like that. I doesn't seem like a actual repro, because I don't remember the 101J having selvedge. Man that's one weird jacket, but a great pickup for 15$, nevertheless.

Might've been a home project for someone that had some denim lying around.

Thanks for your information. Maybe it's a home procjet, but i don't think so because you can clearly see that the lee tab on the pocket has been taken away, the same with the tab with washing instructions etc.

Now that's some good ol' blue! Pretty weird with all those modifications, but the denim seems to be nice, genuine. Nice piece o' jean jacket.

Absolutely! Just got home from a long trip in the weekend so I have been soak'n the jacket for about one hour now.

Looks like a great buy to me. How did the soakin' go? Any shrinkage?

Yes, I'm really satisfied with the purchase. Thank you for opening my eyes. Yes, it's shrinked down a lil', maybe 5 percent or someth'n like that. Will soak it tonight again, hot water 3-4 hours. I think it will be fit for fight after that.

Ah. That sounds great. Do you know what you'll do with the sleeves? Cut them off to make this jacket a Brute Lookin' Jeans Biker Vest, maybe?
