ANZAC Day

I know there are a few kiwis and aussies on this board...

What are everyone's feelings on this holiday, I don't mind it, and think days like this are important for people to remember the past. But there seems to be growing anti anzac day sentiment amongst young people,

e.g. "The parade is just a waste of time etc, the people who were there aren't marching, it's just there children and grandchildren" (not my opinion)

Is ANZAC day still relevant in today's culture?

I support ANZAC day, even though I was not born in Australia, I embrace the Australian way of life and I wouldn't have it any other way here.

I don't believe the parade is a waste of time, it is a way to honour the troops (past and present), even I marched once when I was in the cub scouts.

It is a great day to stop and appreciate what was sacrificed for us.
