Best method for shrinking denim

So, I've been trying to get the maximum shrink out of my jeans by using a trick stolen from a bespoke shirtmaker.

I hot soak them, or wash them hot, either way.

Throw them in the freezer when still wet until they're nearly frozen (i.e. really fucking cold),

then throw them in the washer on hot.

Is there a way to shrink them more, or as much with less effort?

hot wash, then throw them in the dryer, will lose a bit of indigo but they dont shrink much after that.

That's the best u can do, and they'll prolly stretch a little with wear.
