It's actually pretty tough to make acid wash jeans. I think they used to use chlorine but now they use something else right? Anyway it's something best left for an industrial laundry.

It's probably quite achievable... I reckon dilute bleach in one of those squirty spray guns, pair of jeans hung up and a lot of rinses/patience on your part. The weaker the bleach, the more precision you can get, and by repeating the process over and over you could achieve a nicely textured effect.

Yeah I did it with battery acid... there is a boring story to go with it... too boring.

Bleach may not be a good idea as I know it tends to discolour garments yellow rather then white - depending on the bleach and the dye process of the yarn/fabric. Industrial laundries do both bleach and acid washes.

And yeah they don't use chlorine anymore but potassium.. apparently it's safer :\
