Repairing jeans

Hello.

What is the best method of repairing jeans before there is a hole ( I can already see through the denim...). I remember there were a link to 45rpm site but it's dead.

Until now I've used similar material that the pocket linings are... Somebody please make a good guide about repairing jeans

Thanks! That's about how I've done it, except I've used a cotton fabric (similar to pocket linings).

ddml--yeah, plus a few links that should go in there...two things that need doing, the How jeans fit as well as an updated encyclopaedia.

also, i saved the info into a word file, in case the site goes down in future. how long do these archives hang around?

Should be permanent, though it seems like a lot of the pictures are down, some of the dates for sites aren't there, and links are broken, so you have to sort of sift through the stuff... They work with the Library of Congress and various Colleges so I'd say they have pretty good resources, from the amount of recent stuff compared to old, it seems like it will be a much better resource in the future.
