Hey Trini

the price will range from about $250 and $275. i will not know the final price until the goods have landed, so bear with me.

J11

The slimmer fit if I can remember correctly is the Frontier and the Novelty, we'll let you know for sure later.

though some styles are baggy, it looks great on and sits proper. I am not a big fan of baggy jeans, but there is something quite laid-back about the ALD'S. Check out other threads about what people say about these jeans. I have hunted these fro the past year and a half, finally met ALD in Berlin.

Hope you stop by and give 'em a look.

P.S. SJ mostlikey knocked off the pocket details - that is why ALD does not show the jeans entirely on their website.

Cheers

R

The order from slim to most full is as follows: frontier, classic, royal, novelty. As i can remember. I tried all 4 styles. The last two were way too baggy for me. They all are 14oz except the classic which is only in a 11oz. All are non selvege. They are all straight legged and full but sit well. Im sure most people on this board will not go beyond a classic. I wear jeans on the baggy side, APC i have the rescues and not new stand, nudies i have the RR and not the SS. Hope that helps.

I usually wear a 32 but took a 33 in RR cause i like them looser. All waist wise ALD pretty close. I bought a 32 in the classic, and was going to buy a 32 in frontier also but i didnt like the 35 inch leg (they were sold out of 33). I remember the frontier, royal, novelty, waists were pretty much the same in fit...the classics a little smaller around the waist (not by much). Richard posted earlier that he thinks the frontier and novelty are the slimmer fits. Im pretty sure it is the frontier and classic. If someone can confirm that would be great. Im sure Richard will find out soon enough when his boxes arrive. I also take a 32 in APC rescue, 32 in evisu, 32 in rogan, 33 g star handcrafted. So i think waist is not an issue it is whether you are aware of the fullness of the legs. Like i said before i feel the royal and novelty are too full in the legs. I think the classics are the fullest i like to go and frontier (their slimmest cut).

ALD's fit really loose. I am a true 31 waist, and like my jeans sort of loose, but I tried on both the classic and the Royal(?) last summer (they have been available in Europe for some time now) in 32, and they were huge through the legs. I mean, the waist hit a little full (sort of like wearing APCs at your normal size), but the legs are cut really full.

I have no idea how the Frontier fits. That was a new cut for either last fall or this spring season.

You can get these jeans through www.volls.de, but 199 EU seems to be the going price for them throughout Europe. BTW, the guys who designed ALD actually own Mode D'Emploi in the Hague, for all the members from the Netherlands, and I believe that they also price them at 199 EU there, so Richard is definitely charging a fair price.

As for the guy who says that once you wear skinny jeans, you'll never go back? Talk to you in ten years.

Hey, Atelier LaDurance is my Favorite!! brand. I just love how they fit. Baggy, but not like skater/rapper jeans. Just a classy fit! De denim quality is SUPER compared to the price they cost.

Hi UnWashed

http://tinypic.com/qsv6te.jpg = Dungaree, Royal, Frontier... Is that correct???

People looking at the pics will not be able to tell. PLease advise.

Hi All & Trini B (how you been - shoot me email)

I have not washed my Dungaree's yet, but the denim is softening pretty well. As far as I can tell, on the ALD boys, the pants fall quite quite nicely on the body. Though the jeans is a looser fits it has a similar look to that of someone wearing a size up of the rogan Original Jeans. I also like the seat of that pants.

Thanks LA Guy.

The Frontier and the Dungaree are a closer fit compared to the Royal and the Classic. They are about 2 inches smaller through the legs. I sell the F. & D. better than the R. & C.

The line is quite sharp, I will bring in more of their goods in a month or two. Their Belt rock so do their tops.

The size run on their pants is 28, 30,32,34,36,38.

People I do not sell 38's well, so If you know you want it, place an order in advance.

Currently we have a slight discount on ALD (15% - some sizes may have sold out.)

That's all Folks

Yeah, sorry I didn't post any comments with the pic's. Well these are indd the dungaree, royal and the frontier pants(and the mini skirt from my g/f :P if you look good in the pictures)The middle (royal pants) are washed accidently by my mother after one weekicon_smile_angry.gif so you can see the color changes between the royal and the frontier which both carry the same denim. I heard from my friend (a few mins ago) who also sells ALaD, that they have a new model with Selvage! Think that they will rock damn hard. Gonna check them out very soon. Can't wait to see thoseicon_smile_shock.gif

You're welcome Sam. I'm always trying to push Context, though it's not the kind of place for any of my friends (they think I'm wierd for my denim obsession). I've been in quite a few times and I've spoken with Ryan extensively.

To clue you all in, if any of you SFers are in Wisconsin check out Context in Madison. They've greatly improved the conditions for those of us perving everyone's jeans on campus.

To prevent further derailing, I will just agree with the above comments on the quality of ALaD denim--top notch!

Would be very glad to hear or see some experiences in ALD. Got these days a Royal Selvage in RAW and left them still unworn..can't find the right moment....

I saw an extremly worn ALD jean at the B&B Tradshow in Berlin. Used around 2 years, washed several times.

This faded "blue" is the color I am now looking for. What I have to consider in ALD when I use them....

many thnx in advance
