I am a African American Female with years of experience as a Bus Fueler, Heavey Equipment Oiler, Laborer:Asbestos Remover, HazMat Remover and Deleader....So if anyone knows of any companies that I could apply to please PM me.

Props for being a female doing some damn heavy-duty construction jobs. That's awesome.

Of course, the holy grail of engineering/construction, etc. jobs is working with a company like Bechtel.

My best friend works for them and pretty much has free reign to go anywhere they are working (which is essentially every country in the world). Unfortunately, getting a job with them isn't necessarily an easy task.

:D Thanks for the info maaan....the reasoning for this is because I would like to afford to buy a house in Boston where I live....It's sooo expensive here and I see that my parents are getting older and I want to be able to have them live with me and help with their medical bills.

Noble cause.

So you want to go abroad and make as much money as you can working for a few years so that when you return you can buy a house?

If this is the case, then there are several places to consider. I don't know enough about your particular experience/education, but as insane as it sounds, I have had some friends who have gone to work as contractors in Iraq, if you would be at all interested in doing that. They were making around $75K as college educated engineers here in the US (2-5 years experience) but went to Iraq for 1-2 years and ended up getting about $250K per year. Huge salary + hazard pay + tax breaks on earnings........

My uncle has been working in Kazakhstan for the past 4 years and making tons of money as well working for an oil company. My best friend, who works for Bechtel, was given the opportunity to work in Kazakhstan as well and was offered a very large salary. Basically, there is alot going on in the way of natural resources (oil, etc.) in many remote middle eastern countries as well as central asia (kazahkstan, uzbekistan, etc.). The reason they pay so much is because you are working on a remote site for 6 months at a time, with very little communication to the outside world.........I know there is alot of demand on these sites.

I don't really know anything about this, but I know that if I were not tied down to anything and wanted to do construction, I'd try to go someplace like Bahrain. The others, S. Korea, Japan, Europe, Hong Kong, I really doubt there'd be anything out there. My cousin's husband is a contractor, had worked maybe a year or two, and got offered something in Dubai paying mid 6-figures. Turned it down because he had a baby and another on the way and plenty of work at home.

Iraqi Contractor or try your luck in Dubai...

Being a driver in Iraq will bring in more money than a freshman lawyer...

but vehicles are very lightly armored... thats the drawback.. . that and IEDs

NES

they look pretty good.

im in the middle of having interviews with them now, but as a recruitment consultant, meaing id be placing people for other companies, rather than worinking for shell, exon, etc.

although based in the uk, they have loads of offices abroad so would be worth having a look on their website
