Need some help on Shanghai fashion

The majority of us don't live in Shanghai, so I'm not sure that you'll get a good response from us. I'm assuming you live in Shanghai, so I'd say just observe what other people are wearing, or better yet, pick out stuff that you like.

Try looking around the Japanese fashion magazine thread ( http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=22578 ) to get some ideas on whats big in Japan, you can't really go wrong with the Japanese.

16 yr old boys wear school uniforms and basketball gear. they grow mini-mullets for the back of their hair. american brands are very popular there (if a kid was to shoplift, he would steal Levi jeans). other popular brands are Meters-Bonwe, Baleno, and Uniqlo just to name a few. but from my studies, observations, and understanding of mainland chinese culture, 16 year old locals arent into fashion that much because of their priorities (academics, saving money...). everyone wears chuck taylor converses. walk up and down Nanjing road to see/shop prime Shanghai fashion, but you will not see many youngsters...

probably wont find much on 16 year old boys, but you can also check these shanghai style blogs:

The majority of people in the first link are most definitely Japanese. There's a pretty obvious difference between a Chinese and Japanese face and there's no way in hell some of those girls could be Chinese IMO.

Second link is pretty good. Wish they had more pictures...

djrajio.. the 1st link (mcc.net) is definately chinese, i can distinguish japanese and chinese faces, althou they may look similar to japanese, their facial shapes are most definately chinese, most of the guys dun look japanese at all, even thou most of the girls look like. and the background is certainly in shanghai, not in japan.

^ If you look at the backgrounds at some of the pictures on mcc.cn.net, you will notice they're all Harajuku/Aoyama. Example, those bushes and overhead crossings behind the couple picture, and more obvious, the Prada building done by Herzog and DeMeuron in Minami-Aoyama.
