I don't wear Alden shoes so I don't know anything about their lasts. However, they are well-known for their shell-cordovan shoes, which is the hide of an horse's posterior.

You would need to go to that bastion of Business Conservative, Ask Andy, for information. Beware, though, of being too outspoken or they will ban you.
