shrink to fit - do they bleed?

how badly do shrink to fit 501's bleed if you were to wear them prior to washing or after washing?

They'll bleed plenty. Even after washing.

If you're concerned then a long cold soak will take some of the 'excess' indigo away. Soak them in a few changes of cold water for a few hours at least. This will also shrink them up.

i've not had a problem w/shrink-to-fits bleeding onto my skin. if you're sweating in them a lot or something you may have a problem. the indigo will rub off onto your shoes though. i actually think more dye wears off onto shoes after the first wash since the coating (which sort've acts as a barrier between you and the dye at first) gets completely washed off.

I don't think my APCs bleed as much as my Nudie regualr ralf.

I've ruined at least two pairs of sneakers wearing them with my Nudie New Used De Luxe which bleed/crock like hell. It f*cking sucks.
