Repro Type III Levis jacket fit

Thinking about getting a type III jacket. But wondering how they fit. Denim jackets have a habit of having short arms on me. I tried on the 'standard trucker' jackets at the Levis store and the medium fit around the chest right, but the sleeves were too short. The L had okay sleeves (baggy though) and the chest was too big.

Anyone know how the sizing compares? or maybe something I can try on that would be close? Or does the fit of that jacket just not look flattering on taller people.

Saw the nudie denim jacket (not blazer, but the Levis type III style one) Looked good except for their signature embroidery all along the upper back! just a bit too much. fine on jeans pockets, but not on the jacket shoulders..
