Rio de Janeiro...?

I've been in Rio for a week now, and I will be here for another 6 months. Anything I absolutely must see? Anything I absolutely must do? Anywhere I absolutely must go for shopping?

To Do:　

Lapa on a friday night (bars and clubs)

Bar Do Mineiro in Santa Tereza on a saturday night (best portuguese bar in Rio)

Corcovado when the weather s nice (yes, it s great up there)

Club ZeroZero near the Planetario in Gavea (best club in Rio, stylish and ONLY supermodels)

Ipanema beach near to the Apoador (the big stone)...best location...definetly watch the sunset from there...

Not to do:

Buying coke at Favela Amarelinho, unless you wanna die.

Shopping:

forget it. Anything you can get there is cheaper outside of Brazil.

I actually went to Lapa this past Friday night and it was AWESOME. I discovered my love of samba!

I'll work on checking out your other recommendations as well! And after doing research on police vs traficante violence in Rio, I have no intention of buying from a favela (or anywhere, for that matter)!
