Kratts

Diesel stopped making Kratt (or so I was told), but because of demand I guess, they started making the Kurat (or Kuratt) instead. I was similarly bugging when my OG Kratts got a knee hole.

Then one weekend traveling in Boston I found the best cut since...Kurat. A little more expensive (mine were 190) but worth every penny. Thicker and heavier too, a bit lower on the waist, but otherwise just like the Kratts. Good luck holmes

I would ask ringring or maybe serge d nimes to be sure tho

just to clear up the naming...kurat is the one on selvedge denim right, with the orange selvedge edge?

My diesels are kratt, standard 5 pkt, really nice actually, and the model i used to hammer before i got into the whole selvedge thing. not too expensive, mine set me back 65£, tho have seen em for 60. in a very light wash and have faded nicely. Slightly baggy in the leg, tho i think that reflects my like of a slightly slimmer cut than 'regular'.

whats the thoughts from the true denimistas on diesel, when did it pop up, what was orignal quality etc? in the UK its a bit rinsed by trendies and 95% are horrible to my eye (i meant the jeans but probably the people too!)

I used to bang Diesels a couple of years ago. I sold all of my pairs 3 + years ago when I could still get some money for them. they were cool when they were the only distressed jeans out there, but now everyone is sporting that look. The look I have been sporting ever since is raw, unwashed, and dirty as fuck. It works for me! We are very fortunate to have slim and med rise selvage denim available these days. You couldn't find much last year.

You might also want to try the Ravix, that is if you can find it. Features a slight bootcut compared to the Kratt or Kuratt. Otherwise, it's a normal five pocket design. I've got a soft spot for Diesels, I still keep mine although I hardly ever wear them anymore.

serge they look awesome...pretty heavy wear for a month, tho i guess your job is pretty physical as its to do with wine. a friend of mine is doing a wine law masters degree near aix-en-province btw, i went there for easter it is soooo nice and pretty warm too for april, where are you in france?!

i like your attitude too 'raw unwashed and dirty as fuck' made me chuckle!!!! Im getting a laptop soon (ordered it today) so when it arrives im gonna be putting up some snaps of my jeans, had a few technical problems at the moment!

btw guys, for my next pair what would you all recomend, im wanting 5pocket selvedge but with a lower rise as im not too well endowed in the arse-filling departmenticon_smile_big.gif.

Whenever i see my mum she says 'it look like you have a nappy on pull those jeans up around yr waist!!'

So im looking for something slightly more 'fitted' but not in a trendy way at all and should be raw or 1-wash and cheap as poss!!!!!

ta and other people get some photos up in the denim-porn post!
