I think you might be getting streetware mixed up with real life.

In the brightly colored realm of streetware all legitimate, constructive criticism is referred to as hatin'. Hatin' was first used on a t-shirt by some lazy american dude with ugly sleave tatoos in the late 80s. This means that one is prohibited from hatin' because all streetware is totally original.
